Nice, clean, cheap and family hotel with very kind personal, good buffet at the morning and very good localitzacion. Habitaciones limpias, grandes y bien equipadas. Buffet desayuno correcto y con la disponibilidad de hacerte un huevo o tortilla entre otras cosas en el momento. Personal atento y amable con buen ingles, cosa poco habitual en Vietnam.
My Vietnamese friend, who studies hotel management, spent a lot of time visiting hotels in Hanoi to make sure that she could suggest the best one to me, knowing that I am on a tight budget. She suggested this one. Indochina Queen Hotel II has an unbeatable location in the Old Quarter, just minutes away by foot from the lake, night market, the international bar street, and lots of convenience stores and restaurants. The people working in this hotel are all young, incredibly nice, professional, and speak excellent English. Breakfast is included, and many other services are available very cheaply, such as laundry (my favorite, it’s very fast). The rooms are enormous and the beds are comfortable. The bathrooms are enormous, the shower is a contained unit that doesn’t leak any water like my shower at home does (and it has three different spouts!). The room has a spacey fridge, a full set of furniture, and a television that gets Western channels. Above all, the rooms are clean as anything, and quiet!!! The wifi is fast and can be used without hassle. The air conditioner is customizable and can bring the room down to a very low temperature in minutes, which is great after a full day walking around Hanoi. I had expected to rough it in Hanoi, especially given the amount of money I was willing to spend, but with this hotel I was spoiled!
Situated at the Old Quarters on the iron mongery street. Many interesting shops around. Helpful staff. Large room with large bathroom. Kettle available to boil hot water. Comfortable large bed. Breakfast included. But need to pay for hot water.
Stayed at this hotel for two nights. Staff are wonderful - espeicially Ms Chau who arranged our Junk tour on Halong Cristina Deluxe Cruise - which was fantastic and great value!! Everything promised was delivered well, food was lovely. Thanks also to the bellboys who always looked after me and assited with directions. Ms Chau also gave us restaurant and shopping recommendations which provided us with an oppportunity to experience some lovely local food and enjoy our shopping!!!
My friends & I (3 Muslim ladies) stayed at Indochina Queen Hotel II on Fri 15-Mar-13 for 4D 3N. The weather was really nice. We booked through Agoda as the price was good & Ms. Chau, the Sales Exec. was very kind & helpful from the begining. We booked our airport-hotel transfer & budget tour through her with reasonable price & she handled as per our request efficiently. When we arrived at the hotel, she was there to greet us & offer us the best room with accordance to our booking. The room was spacious for the three of us, and most importantly quiet and we were very comfortable. With a budget hotel, you can't expect a good view but I must say we were very happy with the hotel. Since we were on restricted diets, we were not so interested on the breakfast but from what we saw, it was okay for a budget hotel. There was a small shop nearby where we got our mineral water supply. The hotel is situated in the centre of the Old Quater and most places are reachable by walking distance. On our first day, we immediately went to the Water Puppet Theater near Hoen Kiem Lake since Water Puppet is really popular in Vietnam but we couldn't get any tickets for Friday until Monday 18-Mar; where we have to leave for Halong Bay. Ms. Chau was kind enough to suggest us another theater which is about 30 - 40 mins by taxi. We reached there an hour earlier & managed to get tickets but it was almost full by the time the show started. The open theater is smaller but to our liking since it was free setting arragement. Overall, this is a good hotel for budget travellers. All the good things that the other reviewers mentioned were all true. Ms. Chau & the staffs were all very kind.
Stayed here for 2 nights. The staff were very friendly at reception, made us feel comfortable after just arriving straight from the airport. Checked us in a few hours early as we arrived early morning and helped us book our train tickets straight away. Located in the old quarter, most sites are a walkable distance. There are many restaurants and bars nearby by the lake (5 min walk) and the night market is the next street over. Thought the breakfast could have been better compared to other places we stayed in Vitenam but was certainly sufficient. Balcony didn't have great views (buildings surrounding) but that is to be expected in the heart of the city. Room was modern clean and fairly spacious, overall a great place to stay on a budget and we would certainly recommend.
I and my family had stayed in this hotel, staff was nice and the rooms where clean but the view was not that good. But nice clean hotel for travelers, and the staffs are very friendly and helpful.Hanoi is great in that you can walk everywhere. This is very nice hotel in a good location.
I stopped in the Indochina queen hotel in may of 2013 we were greeted by joy who seems to do just about everything in this hotel. I booked a deluxe 2 with a balcony very nice room with a double and a single bed in there. wifi in the room was good as was the aircon, this hotel is a short walk from the main back packers area and the lake. during the day this hotel looks like it's in the middle of huge work shop due all the hardware and ironmongers shop but at night the area is really peaceful and quiet. ideal hotel to explorer the city.
